Malaysian Ribs




  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. In sauce pan melt oil and butter on medium-high heat
  3. In sauce pan cook onions, salt, and pepper until softened for about 5 minutes
  4. Turn down and simmer until golden brown
  5. In large casserole dish combine vinegar, soy sauce, wine, water, sugar, garlic, anise, and bay leaf and bring to a boil
  6. Add ribs
  7. Place onions on top
  8. Cook for 2-3 hours until meat falls apart
